Para Teresa Dantas não há limites no momento de criar.. Assim, as suas joias estão sempre no limite do possível. Esta uma das suas caraterísticas mais originais, que as tornam tão enigmáticas.
O uso de novos materiais e a sua conciliação com os mais tradicionais, é a base do seu trabalho plástico. Trabalha materiais orgânicos, como ossos, dentes de animais, madeira, pão, pele de batata, resina, várias fibras têxteis, e vários metais, como zamak, cobre, latão, prata, ouro, ferro, ímanes, etc...,
Esta circunstância torna as suas joias misteriosas e atraentes. Cada uma delas conta uma história, sendo que a verdadeira e mesmo assim incompleta história é a que conta toda a sua obra.
Para a sua execução não há limites de tempo. As peças são únicas, moldadas pacientemente para assumirem formas improváveis/infinitas e surpreendentes. Os objetos criados exalam uma beleza subtil e estranha, mas carregam um significado que tentam compartilhar com o espectador.
