Ana Moreira
Ana Moreira nasceu em Portugal. Formou-se em Medicina Dentária (1991/97, CESPU) e iniciou-se na joalharia na Contacto Directo (2008-2011). Continuou a sua trajetória através de cursos técnicos e workshops (Fusing, Modelagem em cêra, Electroforming, Bonding materials, “El lenguage de las joyas”, entre outros), cursos de formação (Teoria da joalharia contemporânea; História da Joalharia; (Sustentabilidade, Materiais I e II, Fundição, Projeto e Fotografia), na escola Algures; formação em Joalharia Artística com Jorge Manila (2023); grupo de estudos em Joalharia Artística com Jorge Manilla (2024); entre outros.
Participou em diversas exposições coletivas (“A Joalharia em Contacto Directo”- 2010; “Eclat de Mode”, Bijorhca, Paris – 2013; “Celebração”, Galeria Tereza Seabra – 2013; “Jewellery Room”, 1ª Bienal Internacional de Joalharia Contemporânea de Lisboa – 2021; Exposição “Ensaios” – Galeria Núcleo de Arte Vestível – 2023; Exposição “Processos” – Galeria Alice Floriano – 2023; Exposição “Geléia Geral” Integrada na 2ª Bienal Internacional de Joalharia Contemporânea de Lisboa – 2024; entre outros).
“Desde que me iniciei na Joalharia que eu sabia que queria criar peças que combinassem o metal (principalmente a prata), com outros materiais não convencionais, e ainda, de preferência, que fossem matérias-primas remanescentes da atividade de indústrias diversas, ou provenientes de reaproveitamento. O meu trabalho é matéria e processo. Assenta na pesquisa e na exploração de materiais, e de técnicas que vou aprendendo ao longo da vida. Nas minhas peças valorizo os detalhes, a criação de texturas e a formação de volumes.
Cada peça é uma forma de expressão, tanto minha, enquanto artista que a cria, como da pessoa que a usa. E é aí que ela adquire toda a sua plenitude, exposta num corpo que lhe dá vida.”

“Since I started in Jewellery, I knew I wanted to create pieces that combine metals (mainly silver) with other unconventional materials and, preferably, that they were raw materials remnants of the activity of various industries or from reuse. My work is matter and process, based on research and exploration (of materials) and techniques I have learned throughout my life. I value the details, the creation of textures and the formation of volumes in my pieces.
Each piece is a form of expression, both mine as the artist who creates it and the person who wears it. And it is there that it acquires all its fullness, exposed in a body that gives it life.”
