Barbara Coufal
Barbara Coufal nasceu em 1970, Porto Alegre, Brasil. Em 2021 descobriu a joalheria contemporânea como uma nova linguagem artística. Tem formação em Moda, Comunicação Social e Mestrado em Estética do Cinema. Atualmente sua pesquisa está voltada para questões que envolvem o meio ambiente, o universo marinho e temas sobre o feminino.
Joalheira e fotógrafa que no seu processo de trabalho promove diálogos entre estas duas áreas. Utiliza a fotografia como percurso de investigação e processo criativo, atualmente investiga elementos do mundo animal como símbolo formal e semântico onde a estética hibrida é cenário para criar peças de joalheria, com linguagem em que se identifica a transição para o encontro de significados, usando o corpo como suporte e ativação para aquilo que pretende comunicar.
Barbara Coufal was born in 1970 in Porto Alegre, Brazil. In 2021 she discovered contemporary jewelry as an artistic language. She has a degree in Fashion, Communication as Master's in Cinema Aesthetics. Currently, her main research interests are nature, the marine universe and feminine themes.
Jeweller and Photographer whose work promotes dialogue between these two areas. She uses photography as a path of investigation and creative process, currently researching elements of the animal word as a formal and semantic symbol, where the hybrid aesthetic is the setting for creating jewellery pieces, with a language that identifies the transition to the encounter of meanings, using the body as a support and activation for what it intends to communicate.
