Andrea Sepúlveda
Andrea Sepúlveda, portuguesa, nasceu em 1971. Vive e trabalha em Lisboa.
Licenciada em Eng. Informática, trabalhou na área das TI durante mais de 15 anos. Durante este período fez joalharia, pintura e teatro como hobby.
Em 2020 decidiu dedicar-se completamente ao trabalho artístico tendo estudado Joalharia Contemporânea no Ar.Co - Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual em Lisboa, onde completou também o seu Projecto Individual em 2023.
Realizou uma masterclass com Christoph Zelwegher em 2021, durante a 1ª Bienal de Joalharia Contemporânea de Lisboa, e participou em algumas exposições de grupo desde 2020.
"O meu trabalho é principalmente autobiográfico, no sentido em que exploro conflitos internos e sofrimento psicológico. Na minha prática também abordo relações nas quais os sentimentos de obsessão, sadismo e abandono prevalecem.”
Andrea Sepúlveda, Portuguese, was born in 1971. Lives and works in Lisbon.
Graduated in Computer Science, she worked in the IT area for more than 15 years. During this time she did jewellery, painting and theater as a hobby.
In 2020 she decided to dedicate herself completely to artistic work having studied Contemporary Jewellery at Ar.Co - Centre for Art and Visual Communication in Lisbon, where she also completed her Individual Project in 2023.
She also held a Masterclass with Christoph Zelwegher in 2021, during the 1st Contemporary Jewellery Biennial of Lisbon and participated in some group exhibitions since 2020.
“My work is mainly autobiografic in the sense that I am exploring internal conflicts and psychologic suffering. In my practice I also approach the relationships in which feelings of obsession, sadism or abandonment can prevail.”
