Elena Larrén
Depois de concluir os estudos superiores em Artes Plásticas e Design de Joalharia, completa o estágio na Escola “Le Arti Orafe” de Florença. Continua a sua formação na Catalunha, em busca de inovação e novas técnicas e amplia a sua experiência trabalhando em diferentes oficinas. Obtém diversos reconhecimentos em concursos nacionais de design de joias.
Desde 2010 leciona como professora de oficina de joalharia, também deu diversos workshops em Barcelona, Londres e Lisboa.
O sentido da sua vocação e o propósito do seu trabalho como professora e artista reflectem-se nas suas próprias palavras: “...transmitir e fazer sentir, a joalharia como elemento de expressão, a técnica como símbolo de perfeição e os materiais estão ao serviço das ideias.”
Tenho interesse em hibridizar as conexões entre joias, materiais e o ambiente que me rodeia em relação ao corpo. Isto Permite-me estabelecer vínculos que refletem a memória do que ali habita e nos transporta para novas realidades. As minhas peças são recipientes de reflexões, críticas e emoções que são criptografadas em símbolos para se tornarem arte portátil.
A Minha preocupação é investigar o desconhecido, tornar visível o invisível e transmitir através de um diálogo entre o que se vê e o que ele contém para ativar novos relacionamentos. Eu sou uma pessoa comprometida que colabora e contribui com meu trabalho para tentar melhorar o meu espaço em redor.
After completing her studies in Fine Arts and Jewelry Design, she completed her internship at the “Le Arti Orafe” School in Florence. She continues her training in Catalonia, searching for innovation and new techniques and expanding her experience by working in different workshops. She obtains several recognitions in national jewellery design competitions.
Since 2010 she has been teaching as a jewellery workshop teacher, she has also given several workshops in Barcelona, London and Lisbon.
The meaning of her vocation and the purpose of her work as a teacher and artist are reflected in her own words: “...transmitting and making people feel, jewelry as an element of expression, technique as a symbol of perfection and materials are at the service of ideas.”
I am interested in hybridizing the connections between jewelry, materials and the environment that surrounds me in relation to the body. This allows me to establish links that reflect the memory of what lives there and transports us to new realities. My pieces are containers of reflections, criticisms and emotions that are encrypted into symbols to become portable art.
My concern is to investigate the unknown, make the invisible visible and transmit through a dialogue between what is seen and what it contains to activate new relationships. I am a committed person who collaborates and contributes to my work to try to improve my surrounding space.
